This months Threads Spotlight is Makenzie Whatcott.
Makenzie has been designing, selling and admining at Minky Mamas for 2 years! We are always grateful for Makenzie's hard work and dedication.
Makenzie is married to Ryan and they have two beautiful kids.
Get to know Makenzie:
1. What is your favorite part of working at Minky Mamas?
I love that I can be a stay at home mom while still helping provide for our little family. I also love the friendships that I have made because of Minky Mamas.
2. What's one thing people don't know about you that they would be surprised to find out?
I am not a lover of chocolate or cake, in fact part of our wedding cake was made out of rice krispie treats.
3. What is your favorite minky product?
I think my Sharpei blanket from Minky Mamas will forever be my favorite minky.
4. What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
To not be afraid of dreaming big and trying new things.
5. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation
6. What are your goals for the next few months/years?
One of my goals this year is to plan and make more home cooked meals.
7. If you had three wishes, what would they be?
For all sicknesses and diseases to be gone. For no one to ever go hungry again. And to have endless amounts of money.
8. What’s one thing that surprised you about your current role?
How fun it would be interacting with everyone during the live shows. It’s so fun getting to know everyone as we hang out and chat. I’ve been touched by so many of our customers. I absolutely love our Minky Mama family and the safe space it is for everyone. Everyone is always so kind and I love seeing the friendships that our customers build with each other.
9. What’s the last song you listened to?
The Wheels on The Bus. If that doesn’t scream “mom” I don’t know what does?!
10. What is your favorite treat?
Rice Krispie Treats have been a favorite treat of mine since I was young. I love them! But also do chips count? I am a huge chip girl and it takes everything in me to not eat an entire bag by myself. Salt and Vinegar chips are always my go to.
11. What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Or reading?
Just started reading a series called A Court of Thorns and Roses.
12. What’s one thing on your bucket list?
Visit Greece.
